Recap: Mounds Golden Eagles vs. Summit Christian Academy Eagles
The Mounds Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Summit Christian Academy 59-29. Mounds has not had much luck with Summit Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mounds still got an impressive performance from Baylie Harig, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harig has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayah Steinman, who scored six points.
Mounds' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Summit Christian Academy, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Mounds will be playing at home against Haskell on Friday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Porter on Friday. Porter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 107th).
