After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bear Lake, Benzie Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Onekama Portagers 15-2. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by nine runs or more this season.
Lorin McNeil made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Benzie Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 4-7-1 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Tyler Brooks was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
