Basketball Recap: Temple Christian Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

It was a Battle of the Birds when Temple Christian took on Oakridge on Saturday. The Temple Christian Eagles came out on top against the Oakridge Owls by a score of 54-47. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 88-12 victory the Owls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2018.

Jessie Dejesus was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 14 on his way to 24 points along with six boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Grant Walker, who went 6 of 11 en route to 17 points.

Oakridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Robinson, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 19 points and three steals. Joshua Dees was another key player, putting up nine points and six steals.

Temple Christian pushed their record up to 10-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Oakridge, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
