Volleyball Recap: Thunder Ridge Takes a Loss

Thunder Ridge lost against Bear Lake back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears.

Thunder Ridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Gabby Grover paced Thunder Ridge's offense, picking up eight kills. Grover got some help from Avery Kunz and her nine assists. Finally, Jeslynn Furniss kept Thunder Ridge's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Thunder Ridge has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Bear Lake, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-1.

Thunder Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Rigby on the 20th. As for Bear Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Boise on the 20th.
