Softball Recap: Dreher Takes a Loss

Dreher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-1 to the Lancaster Bruins, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-1 defeat last Tuesday.

Anna Coates was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Dreher's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lancaster, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Dreher will challenge South Pointe at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lancaster, they will take on Richland Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lancaster's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Richland Northeast's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
