Softball Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. DeKalb Barbs

The Hall Red Devils will square off against the DeKalb Barbs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hall's hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Hall's offense. They came up short against Quincy Notre Dame on Friday, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, DeKalb also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 12-0 to Biggsville West Central on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Barbs have suffered since May 16, 2025.

DeKalb saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Latimer, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

DeKalb's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
