Providence Day has gone a perfect 10-0 against Charlotte Latin recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chargers will look to defend their home field against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Providence Day 3.2, Charlotte Latin 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Friday just wasn't the day for Providence Day's offense. They lost 8-0 to Charlotte Christian on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Latin hadn't done well against Charlotte Christian recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 9-1 win. Considering the Hawks have won nine contests by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sydney Thune made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lila McConnell was excellent, going 2-for-5 with four RBI. Caroline Coble was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances.

Charlotte Latin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Charlotte Latin's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Providence Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Providence Day was able to grind out a solid win over Charlotte Latin in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
