Softball Recap: Sparrows Point Triumphs

Sparrows Point hadn't done well against Eastern Tech recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Pointers walked away with a 9-5 win over the Mavericks. This was a revenge game for the Pointers: when they faced off against the Mavericks two weeks ago, they had to take a 11-0 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Allie Roberts, who earned two RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Marisa Muffoltto, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

The victory got Sparrows Point back to even at 8-8. As for Eastern Tech, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
