Georgetown extended their losing streak to eight on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 1-8 in the process. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bethel-Tate Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 on April 11th.

Georgetown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Ison, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Dylan Holtz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

As for Bethel-Tate, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 9, 2024.

On Bethel-Tate's side, Carter Moss was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Moss a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
