Edcouch-Elsa put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by  a  15-5 margin over the Hanna Golden Eagles. While the Yellowjackets didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Edcouch-Elsa got a great performance from  Jennah Garcia as she  tossed five innings while giving up just one earned  (and four unearned) runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Christa Lopez was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  hits (three). Another player making a difference was  Mariah Sandoval, who  went a perfect2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Edcouch-Elsa was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .552. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .300 or higher in seven consecutive  matchups  dating back to last season.
Edcouch-Elsa's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Hanna, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games,  which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-1 record  this season.
 Edcouch-Elsa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-2  victory against Rivera on the 18th. As for Hanna, they also  didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  7-3  loss against Edinburg North on the 18th.
