Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kate Breault and Chloe Galombeck Lead Hough to Victory

While Hough's victory against West Charlotte wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hough Huskies skirted past the West Charlotte Lions 66-64. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hough was led to victory by Chloe Galombeck and Kate Breault. Galombeck posted 23 points, while Breault earned 22 points. That's the most points Breault has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Jacquelyn Jakubecy, who had ten points.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bri'Asia Rowe, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Rowe has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chakira Generette, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points.

The win made it two in a row for Hough and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for West Charlotte, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3.

Hough wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-42 defeat against Mallard Creek on the 9th. As for West Charlotte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-29 victory against Harding University on the 8th.
