Basketball Game Preview: Evans Eagles vs. Hackberry Mustangs

The Evans Eagles will head out to square off against the Hackberry Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hackberry took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Evans, who comes in off a win.

Hackberry will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Evans extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Eagles came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 73-68 W against Reeves. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-21), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 82-52, which was the final score in Hackberry's tilt against Reeves on Saturday.

Evans' win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for Hackberry, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Evans against Hackberry in their previous matchup back in November, as the team secured a 74-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
