Basketball Recap: Anderson Dorvil Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

With a playoff win on the line, George Washington rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Roxborough Wolves with a 58-53 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Wolves back in January, they had to take a 65-52 defeat.

George Washington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Anderson Dorvil out in front who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points and eight boards. Dorvil is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Tyson Scott was another key player, going 5 of 6 on his way to 15 points and six assists.

The win made it two in a row for George Washington and bumps their season record up to 14-9. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 42.9% in those games and 29.2% outside of them. As for Roxborough, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

George Washington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 87-68 defeat against Samuel Fels on the 11th. Roxborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
