Volleyball Recap: Start Wins Going Away Against Swanton

Start hadn't done well against Swanton recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Spartans blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in March, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Start never let Swanton on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23, 25-17.

Kaden Baker paced Start's offense, picking up 13 kills. Baker got some help from Jaden Brunt and his 12 assists. Brunt was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

The victory got Start back to even at 4-4. As for Swanton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Start didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Perrysburg on the 2nd. As for Swanton, they will challenge Anthony Wayne at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
