Basketball Recap: Furlow Charter School Takes a Loss

Furlow Charter School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 36th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Central Hawks, falling 71-20. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 101-22 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Furlow Charter School still got an impressive performance from Robert Angrish, who posted eight points and three steals. Those eight points gave Angrish a new career-high.

Central can attribute much of their success to Brody Leonard, who had 19 points. Michael Bussey was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Furlow Charter School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Furlow Charter School has already played their next game, a 71-63 loss against Webster County on the 28th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-42 win against Schley County on the 28th.
