Basketball Recap: Pathway Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against Faith Christian

Pathway Christian kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 55-19 loss at the hands of the Faith Christian Falcons. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.

When it comes to explaining why Pathway Christian lost, don't look at Denver Nelson. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Nelson has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

Carson Bivins was a one-man wrecking crew For Faith Christian. as he dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 boards gave Bivins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Baker, who posted five points and four steals.

Looking ahead, Pathway Christian will take on Unity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Faith Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-53 victory against HomeSchool Resource Center on the 21st.
