Soccer Game Preview: Villa Duchesne vs. Cor Jesu Academy

The Villa Duchesne Saints will square off against the Cor Jesu Academy Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Villa Duchesne has given up an average of 3.2 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Villa Duchesne didn't have quite enough to beat Duchesne and fell 6-5. Villa Duchesne have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cor Jesu Academy had just enough and edged out Lindbergh 2-1 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Cor Jesu Academy.

Cor Jesu Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Villa Duchesne, they now have a losing record of 1-2-1.

Villa Duchesne came out on top in a nail-biter against Cor Jesu Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
