Volleyball Game Preview: Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars will square off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Saturday. Middle Tennessee Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Middle Tennessee Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Tennessee's top teams: Battle Ground Academy, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Middle Tennessee Christian was ranked ninth). The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 27-25.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame earned a 3-1 win over Jackson Central Merry on Tuesday.

Notre Dame had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 31-29, 25-23, 25-23.

Notre Dame's victory bumped their record up to 19-20. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their win bumped their record up to 29-3.

Everything went Middle Tennessee Christian's way against Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Middle Tennessee Christian made off with a 3-0 victory.
