Basketball Recap: St. Andrews-Sewanee Takes a Loss

St. Andrews-Sewanee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 71-15 defeat at the hands of the Marion County Warriors. The Mountain Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-7.

Marion County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lawson Bradford out in front who went 5 for 9 on her way to 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chrysia Timmis, who posted 12 points.

St. Andrews-Sewanee's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Marion County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season.

St. Andrews-Sewanee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Marion County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marion County has three straight victories, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences has 11 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
