Basketball Recap: Snow Canyon Warriors vs. Hurricane Tigers
Snow Canyon's game on Friday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 61-54 to the Hurricane Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-58 back in January.
Despite the loss, Snow Canyon still got an impressive performance from Reggie Mackay, who posted 17 points. Issaiah Thompson was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.
Hurricane got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Calan Hughes out in front who scored eight points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of RJ Hurst, who earned 13 points.
Snow Canyon dropped their record down to 5-18 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hurricane, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
As of now, neither Snow Canyon nor Hurricane have any future games scheduled.
