Football Recap: East Central Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against Tuscaloosa Christian

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Faith Christian, East Central HomeSchool was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Leading East Central HomeSchool to victory were Micah Smith and Levi Jett. Smith gained 23 total yards and two touchdowns, while Jett rushed for 55 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards Jett has posted since back in October of 2024.

East Central HomeSchool's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Chris Fritz, Judah Bush, and Cash Mann, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Tuscaloosa Christian's side was Nick Nelson, who made 11 total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defended one pass.

The victory got East Central HomeSchool back to even at 1-1.

East Central HomeSchool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Faith Christian HomeSchool Academy at 4:00 p.m. on September 6. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they will face off against Jacksonville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
