Soccer Game Preview: Dorman vs. Riverside

Dorman is 0-9-1 against Riverside since March of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Cavaliers will host the Warriors at 7:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Dorman's offense. They fell 2-0 to Eastside on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Dorman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Eastside are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Riverside kept a clean sheet against Spartanburg on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Vikings. Considering Riverside have won five matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverside is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six matches. As for Dorman, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.
