Volleyball Recap: Tocoi Creek Takes Down Oakleaf in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tocoi Creek had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Oakleaf Knights, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Toros: when they faced off against the Knights back in August, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Tocoi Creek wouldn't go down easily and took Oakleaf into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 21-25, 15-6.

Despite the loss, Oakleaf still got an impressive performance from Kelsey Joshua, who had 15 digs and four assists. Morgan Ansley also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

The victory (which was Tocoi Creek's third in a row) raised their record to 14-12. As for Oakleaf, they now have a losing record of 12-13.

Tocoi Creek has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Buchholz on the 14th. Oakleaf does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
