Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

Mt. Pleasant managed to slip by Grand Ledge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Oilers came up short against the Comets on Saturday, falling 13-1. The Oilers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clayton Molyneux, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Mt. Pleasant dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Grand Ledge, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will head out on the road to face off against Midland at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Grand Ledge, they will be playing at home against East Lansing at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
