Athens and Decatur are an even 3-3-1 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Athens Golden Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Decatur Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Athens and eight for Decatur.

Athens lost 6-2 to James Clemens on Monday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Golden Eagles were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, Decatur fell victim to Austin and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They came up short against the Black Bears, falling 5-0.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Athens took their win against Decatur in their previous meeting back in February by a conclusive 6-1. Will Athens repeat their success, or does Decatur have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
