Soccer Game Preview: Concord-Carlisle vs. Newton South

The Concord-Carlisle Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Newton South Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Concord-Carlisle is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Saturday, Concord-Carlisle had just enough and edged out Bromfield 2-1.

Meanwhile, Newton South faced Framingham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Neither the Lions nor the Flyers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Concord-Carlisle's victory bumped their record up to 7-3-1. With that draw, Newton South's record moves to 8-2-3.

Concord-Carlisle came up short against Newton South when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
