Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Beats Ontario for Their 16th Straight Win

Pleasant put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Ontario Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Pleasant was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-27, 25-18, 25-16.

Pleasant was led to victory by Siri Veladanda and Kamryn Cocherl. Veladanda had 13 digs and two aces, while Cocherl hit 50% for 32 kills and 17 digs, five aces, and one block. Cocherl is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had eight or more in each of the last 45 games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Pleasant was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ontario only served six aces.

Pleasant's record now sits at 16-0. As for Ontario, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

The future could be bright for both Pleasant and Ontario: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Spartans will look to extend Galion's four-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ontario will try to hand Marion Harding their third-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
