Basketball Recap: Carson Victorious

With a playoff win on the line, Carson rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Garfield Bulldogs by a score of 53-46. This was payback for the Colts, who suffered a 67-57 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Justin Cooper was his usual excellent self, putting up 23 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayden Bautista, who put up ten points.

The victory made it two in a row for Carson and bumps their season record up to 7-17. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Garfield, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6.

Carson has already played their next matchup, a 53-46 win against Manual Arts on the 22nd. Garfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
