Baseball Game Preview: McEwen Warriors vs. Harpeth Indians

The McEwen Warriors will challenge the Harpeth Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

After dropping their season opener at home, Harpeth is headed out to face a Warriors team ready to give their home crowd a win. McEwen lost 14-7 to East Hickman County on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Ben McPherson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Four bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kainan Gill, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Harpeth came up short against Overton on Friday and fell 8-5.

Aaron Higgs made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Chance Ford was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

McEwen suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Harpeth when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can McEwen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
