Softball Recap: Arcata Has No Trouble Against Eureka

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Del Norte, Arcata was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Eureka Loggers as they made off with a 13-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

The team relied heavily on Nallia Meyer, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Abby Tyner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Arcata's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-6. As for Eureka, they dropped their record down to 0-7-1 with the loss, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Arcata didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-1 defeat against Fortuna on the 16th. As for Eureka, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against McKinleyville on the 12th.
