Football Recap: Steilacoom Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Steilacoom can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Anacortes Seahawks. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, the Sentinels couldn't push the score so high this time.

Titus Kaeka threw for 154 yards and one TD. Jason Freeland was his top target, picking up 47 receiving yards. On the ground, Noah Maxwell rushed for 73 yards.

With the loss, Steilacoom broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Anacortes, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Steilacoom does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Anacortes, they will challenge Orting at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Seahawks 13.4, the Cardinals 12.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
