After a string of four wins, Loudoun County HomeSchool's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Evergreen Christian Eagles.

Evergreen Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Maddie Wivell led the charge by putting up 16 points in addition to seven assists and three steals. Wivell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Adriana Jenkins, who posted 15 points.

Loudoun County HomeSchool's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Evergreen Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Loudoun County HomeSchool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fairfax HomeSchool on January 4, 2025. Evergreen Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Christ Chapel Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
