Baseball Recap: Moriarty Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moriarty can now relate to. They lost 13-4 to the Deming Wildcats on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 on Friday.

Raiden Scribner was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Moriarty and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Deming, they pushed their record up to 21-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home.

Moriarty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Deming, they will face off against Albuquerque Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season.
