Baseball Game Preview: Cheltenham Panthers vs. Upper Moreland Bears

For the second straight game, Cheltenham will face off against Upper Moreland. The Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Bears at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cheltenham has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight losses, while Upper Moreland will come in with six straight wins.

Cheltenham came up short against Upper Moreland on Wednesday, falling 13-5.

For Upper Moreland's part, Luke Sword spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Upper Moreland got a big performance out of Zach O'Connor, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Patrick Kilgus, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.

Cheltenham's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Upper Moreland, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
