Big Game from SIMON As Service Fell 26-6

Starting off the list is Service's NORA SIMON, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. SIMON rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Her rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked her fifth straight game with at least 102 rushing yards.

If history really does repeat itself, SIMON might just drop another big game when she faces off against Chugiak on Saturday. When SIMON last faced the Mustangs back in September, she rushed for 145 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

Ariel Misa Turns in Season-Best Effort

Ariel Misa produced her most outstanding game to date while leading West Anchorage to the win on Saturday. Misa threw for 255 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The win (which was West Anchorage's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. Misa and West Anchorage will welcome Eagle River at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Leiloa Fesolai Makes It Two for West Anchorage

Keeping Misa company is Leiloa Fesolai, a fellow West Anchorage player. She picked up 152 receiving yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Fesolai has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 52.9 receiving yards per game.

A Constellation of Stars for West Anchorage
