Soccer Game Preview: Blair vs. Platteview

The Blair Bears will face off against the Platteview Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Blair's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Waverly as Blair made off with a 5-0 victory. Blair have beaten Waverly the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest Waverly has come to flipping the script.

Blair hit Waverly with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Cadence Field (2), Kaitlynn O'Neil (2), and Laynie Brown.

Meanwhile, Platteview made easy work of Nebraska City on Monday and carried off an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Platteview.

Blair has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Platteview, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Everything went Blair's way against Platteview in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Blair made off with an 8-1 win. In that match, Blair amassed a halftime lead of 6-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
