Volleyball Recap: Lackawanna Trail Takes a Loss

Lackawanna Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Berwick Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Lackawanna Trail was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Wyatt Laytos paced Lackawanna Trail's offense, picking up four kills. Laytos got some help from Aidan Megivern and his 11 assists.

Lackawanna Trail's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Berwick, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Lackawanna Trail has already played their next game (against Tunkhannock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Berwick, they will face off against Wyoming Valley West at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
