Recap: Wayne Christian Eagles vs. Eastern Wayne Warriors

Wayne Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Eastern Wayne Warriors on Monday. The win was just what Wayne Christian needed coming off of an 11-1 loss in their prior match.

Miles Hamm was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Millerd, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

On Eastern Wayne's side, Alex Rouse was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Rouse was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

In other batting news, Austin Watson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Wayne Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Eastern Wayne, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8.
