Baseball Game Preview: Holderness Bulls vs. Proctor Academy Hornets

The Holderness Bulls will face off against the Proctor Academy Hornets at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Holderness will be strutting in after a win while Proctor Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Holderness will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating New Hampton School, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Bulls were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Huskies on Friday. The Bulls not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 4, 2024 (when they won 12-3).

Meanwhile, Proctor Academy came up short against St. Paul's on Friday and fell 5-1. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their meetings with the Big Red: they've now lost seven in a row.

Proctor Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Read, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Proctor Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Holderness, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
