Baseball Game Preview: Elsinore Tigers vs. West Valley Mustangs

For the second straight game, Elsinore will face off against West Valley. The Tigers will challenge the Mustangs at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Elsinore will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Elsinore made easy work of West Valley and carried off an 11-1 victory.

Brayden Stankus tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Andrew Jimenez, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jovan Huerta, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Elsinore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .593. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

West Valley's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7. As for Elsinore, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
