Football Recap: Clarksville Academy Takes a Loss

Clarksville Academy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They lost to the Friendship Christian Commanders on the road by a 42-26 margin. The Cougars lost against the Commanders in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 46-7 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Clarksville Academy lost, don't look at Cj Snodgrass. Despite the final result, he threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.6 yards per attempt. Andrayas Scott also helped out with an impressive 157 receiving yards.

As for Friendship Christian, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.7 points over those games.

Friendship Christian was led to victory by Blake Waldorf and Ryder Wolcott. Waldorf threw for 310 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, while Wolcott rushed for 115 yards and two scores.

Clarksville Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-16 victory against Montgomery Central on the 26th. As for Friendship Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 28-13 win against Ezell-Harding Christian on the 26th.
