Volleyball Recap: Clarkston Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Clarkston, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Columbia Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Angoras haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Clarkston was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-11.

Clarkston can attribute much of their success to Suily Par, who had three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Par has posted over her last five matches.

Clarkston's win bumped their record up to 10-22. As for Columbia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, Clarkston and Columbia will both be playing Stone Mountain the next time they take the court. The Angoras will host the Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
