Recap: Central Christian Cougars vs. Classical Saints
The Central Christian Cougars had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 55-47 to Classical. Central Christian has not had much luck with Classical recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Among those leading the charge was Sam Wilkey, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Young, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Central Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Classical, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Christian will take on Canton-Galva at TBD on Tuesday. As for Classical, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sedgwick at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sedgwick and Classical are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
