Softball Game Preview: Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors vs. Elkmont Red Devils

The Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Elkmont Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Whitesburg Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while Elkmont will be coming in after a defeat.

Whitesburg Christian Academy barely beat Brindlee Mountain the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Lions 10-2 on Tuesday. The Warriors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.

Meanwhile, Elkmont came up short against West Limestone on Tuesday, falling 9-2. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Avery Harwell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Whitesburg Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Elkmont, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Whitesburg Christian Academy couldn't quite get it done against Elkmont in their previous meeting on Thursday as they fell 7-3. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
