Basketball Recap: North East Takes a Loss

North East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Fallston Cougars and fell 75-33. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-37 back in December of 2024.

Oliver Schamburg went supernova for Fallston, going 9 of 19 en route to 30 points and five assists. Those 30 points gave Schamburg a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Robinson, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

North East's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Fallston, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

North East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-24 loss against Caravel on the 31st. Fallston has also already played their next match, a 66-61 defeat against Bohemia Manor on the 3rd.
