Charles J. Colgan and West Springfield squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Charles J. Colgan had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2. The Sharks' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Charles J. Colgan actually scored more points across those five sets (99-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 12-25, 25-17, 25-22, 15-10.

Despite the loss, Charles J. Colgan still got an impressive performance from Elizabeth Robinson, who had five digs and four aces. Robinson has been hot, having also posted 15 or more assists the last seven times she's played.

Audrey Busch went supernova For West Springfield., getting 27 digs and six assists. That's the most digs Busch has posted since back in September. Jessica McMahon also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Charles J. Colgan's loss dropped their record down to 28-5. As for West Springfield, the victory was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-2.

As of now, neither Charles J. Colgan nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
