Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tori Schlatter and Brooklyn Schlatter Lead Paulding to Victory

Paulding posted their biggest win since February 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They blew past the St. John's Bluejays 57-33. With the Panthers ahead 27-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Leading Paulding to victory were Brooklyn Schlatter and Tori Schlatter. Brooklyn went 6 of 11 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Tori went 6 for 9 on her way to 16 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Brooklyn a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Pease, who posted four points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Paulding smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive matchups.

Paulding's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for St. John's, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulding will host Antwerp at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paulding is facing Antwerp at the right time seeing as Antwerp is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. John's, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against New Knoxville at 6:00 p.m. St. John's will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: New Knoxville will have lost five straight heading into Thursday's game.
