Basketball Game Preview: Fort Myers Green Wave vs. Cape Coral Seahawks

The Fort Myers Green Wave just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Cape Coral Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Fort Myers came up short against Palmetto Ridge and fell 61-52. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Cape Coral beat Oasis 67-63 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Seahawks.

Cape Coral is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Fort Myers, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Fort Myers came out on top in a nail-biter against Cape Coral in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 58-56. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Myers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
