Baseball Recap: Randallstown Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Randallstown proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Eastside Ghosts 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Chris Ross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Randallstown is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Randallstown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Lee, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Lee is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Joshua White was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Randallstown's record now sits at 6-4-1. As for Eastside, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Looking ahead, Randallstown will challenge Parkville at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastside, they will take on Clifton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Ghosts are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
