Softball Preview: Seymour Eagles vs. Gibbs Eagles
Seymour hasn't had much luck against Gibbs recently, but that could start to change on Monday. Seymour will venture away from home to take on Gibbs at 6:00 p.m.
Seymour came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Cocke County, falling 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Meanwhile, Gibbs was able to grind out a solid win over Clinton on Thursday, taking the game 5-2.
Miah German spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.
At the plate, Gibbs let Shelby Williams and Brianna Baker run wild. Williams went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run, while Baker went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
